| A fresh and cool wind blowing diagonally across the pitch was enough to affect the game and the tactics. The visitors set off at 0700 this morning and they started the match kicking into the wind towards the Spotted Cow.
Worthing took the initiative and then dominated the first quarter as the visitors strove to settle and keep out the lively attacks. Then on 22 minutes, a scrum followed by two fast rucks saw Worthing sweep to the left and a pass by Ben Dudley released Alex Neilsen to touch down in the corner.

Can you help the U19s Colts in their quest to win the National Cup? | At the half way stage of the season at Christmas, Worthing U18 Colts were top of the Sussex Premier League and progressing through to the Quarter Finals of the Sussex Colts Cup. Their next fixtures in these competitions are Haywards Heath at HOME on Sun 29th January and Pulborough AWAY on Sun 19th February, with both KO's at 2.00pm.
In the National Colts U19's Cup, the squad has had success with wins over Hove, Blackheath and Winchester to progress through to the last 32 teams. The next round sees them drawn AWAY at Rochford, Essex on Sunday 5th February.
The team are proposing to travel by coach to Rochford, and are seeking a sponsor who could assist them in funding the trip. As all the players are full time students, funds are very tight and any help would be gratefully received.
Contact kelly@worthingrfc.com if you can help - thank you | |

| A tough fixture this with both teams a little out of form and Southend, as usual, confident of coming out on top.
A chilly sort of day with the ground a little soft on top from the earlier frost as Southend kicked off towards the Spotted Cow. more... | | | | Pictures (11) Mon,16/01/2012 |

| First game back after a three week Christmas break, Shelford kicked off playing with the advantage of a fairly stiff breeze at their backs for the first half. With one minute on the clock, Worthing gave away the first penalty of what was to become an unacceptably high count on the day. Fortunately for Worthing, Fly Half Harry Owens was unable to convert with his shot at goal. more... | |
