Alexander Roberts receives the U9 Cup from Worthing RFC Mini Chairman Mark Roberts (no nepotism).

The squad of eleven all played marvellous attractive football and were rock solid in defence. Coaches Karl Anscombe and Rob Hooker prepared the boys superbly for each game and ensured that all the work in previous competitions and training was brought to the fore on the day. Thanks to all the parents who worked so hard on the day to make it work; notably Steve Chitty who manned the control tent all day, Mrs R who made up all the packs, Jo for supplying tea and cakes, Neil for sharing the refereeing and running the Baa Baas team and Darren and Simon for being very efficient pitch marshalls. It was also most gratifying, and a privilege, to see our Club President at the festival supporting the boys. But the biggest thanks of all must go to the boys; it was an absolute pleasure to see all your efforts come to fruition.

In all competitions this season the team played 30 matches, winning 20, drawing 5 and losing 5. Click on photo to enlarge.
